- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter with granulated and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake 30–35 minutes or until the edges are set but center is still slightly soft. Do not overbake.
- Cool completely in pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake and let cool completely. You can add nuts or swirl in caramel for variation.
