  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks

  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter with granulated and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake 30–35 minutes or until the edges are set but center is still slightly soft. Do not overbake.
  8. Cool completely in pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake and let cool completely. You can add nuts or swirl in caramel for variation.
