This is the ultimate homemade cranberry sauce β tangy, sweet, and perfectly balanced! πβ¨ Quick to make and ideal for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any festive meal.
Ingredients

- 12 oz (340g) fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp orange zest (optional)
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Add cranberries, orange zest, cinnamon, and salt. Return to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 10β15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. The sauce will thicken more as it cools.
- Transfer to a serving dish or jar. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
π‘ Tip: For extra flavor, stir in a splash of orange juice or a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar. Can be made 2β3 days ahead and stored in the fridge!
