  • 34 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: chopped pickles or cooked bacon for garnish

  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender (about 15–20 minutes).
  6. Stir in milk and shredded cheddar cheese until smooth and creamy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper. Adjust thickness with more milk or broth if needed.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with optional pickles or bacon if desired.

Notes
