Description
These Texas Roadhouse Rolls are soft, fluffy, and buttery – just like the restaurant favorite! Perfect with honey butter for holidays or family dinners.

- 1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 3 1/2–4 cups all-purpose flour
- Extra butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water with a pinch of sugar. Let stand 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, melted butter, salt, and egg. Stir in the yeast mixture.
- Gradually add flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing until dough is soft but not sticky.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down dough, roll out to 1/2-inch thickness, and cut into squares or rectangles.
- Arrange rolls on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown.
- Brush warm rolls generously with melted butter and serve with honey butter.
Notes
For authentic flavor, serve with whipped honey cinnamon butter. Dough can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight before shaping.
