Description
This Chocolate Pecan Pie is rich, gooey, and irresistibly decadent. A buttery pie crust is filled with a luscious chocolate-pecan filling that bakes into a fudgy, caramel-like center. Perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any holiday dessert spread!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (divided)
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
- Optional: flaky sea salt or extra melted chocolate for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup chocolate chips onto the bottom of the unbaked pie crust.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Stir in the pecans and the remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until the center is mostly set and the top is golden.
- Allow the pie to cool completely so the filling can firm up.
- Top with a drizzle of melted chocolate or flaky sea salt if desired.
Notes
Tent the pie crust edges with foil halfway through baking to prevent overbrowning. For deeper chocolate flavor, add 2 tablespoons cocoa powder to the filling or replace part of the corn syrup with chocolate fudge sauce. Pie keeps well refrigerated for 4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
