Description

This Chocolate Pecan Pie is rich, gooey, and irresistibly decadent. A buttery pie crust is filled with a luscious chocolate-pecan filling that bakes into a fudgy, caramel-like center. Perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any holiday dessert spread!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (divided)
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • Optional: flaky sea salt or extra melted chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sprinkle 1/2 cup chocolate chips onto the bottom of the unbaked pie crust.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  4. Stir in the pecans and the remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
  6. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until the center is mostly set and the top is golden.
  7. Allow the pie to cool completely so the filling can firm up.
  8. Top with a drizzle of melted chocolate or flaky sea salt if desired.

Notes

Tent the pie crust edges with foil halfway through baking to prevent overbrowning. For deeper chocolate flavor, add 2 tablespoons cocoa powder to the filling or replace part of the corn syrup with chocolate fudge sauce. Pie keeps well refrigerated for 4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
