- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
- Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until browned. Drain excess grease. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix Filling: Stir in cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. Mix until creamy and combined.
- Assemble Casserole: Spread beef mixture in the baking dish. Top with shredded cheese, then arrange tater tots evenly over the top.
- Bake: Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until tater tots are crispy and golden. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
