Description
This Strawberry Iced Tea is a sweet and fruity twist on a summer classic. Fresh strawberries and black tea come together in a refreshing drink that’s naturally sweetened and loaded with real flavor. It’s the perfect drink to chill with all season long!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups water
- 3 black tea bags (or green tea for a lighter taste)
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
- ¼ cup sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint and lemon slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Brew Tea: Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 5–7 minutes. Discard tea bags and let the tea cool.
- Make Strawberry Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, and ¼ cup water. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring and mashing until berries break down. Strain through a fine sieve and discard solids.
- Combine: In a pitcher, mix brewed tea, strawberry syrup, and lemon juice. Stir well and refrigerate until cold.
- Serve: Pour over ice and garnish with mint or lemon slices, if desired.
Notes
Use honey, agave, or stevia to adjust sweetness to your preference. Frozen strawberries work too — just simmer a few minutes longer. For a bubbly version, top each glass with sparkling water before serving.
