- 12 oz egg noodles or lo mein noodles
- 1 lb boneless chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
- Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch slurry.
- Pour sauce into skillet and simmer 2–3 minutes until thick and sticky.
- Add cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For heat, add red pepper flakes or sriracha. Swap chicken for shrimp or tofu if desired.
