Description

These Spinach and Feta Pinwheels are savory, flaky, and perfect as appetizers or party snacks. Puff pastry or crescent dough is filled with a flavorful mixture of spinach, feta, and herbs, then rolled and sliced into bite-sized pinwheels.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry or 1 can crescent dough (thawed)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped spinach, feta, cream cheese, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  4. Spread the spinach-feta mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around edges.
  5. Carefully roll the dough from one long side into a tight log.
  6. Slice the log into 1-inch pinwheels and place on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden and puffed.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian-friendly option, omit the egg wash. Pinwheels can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 4 hours before baking. Serve warm or at room temperature.
