Description
This spooky Spider Web Cheesecake is a creamy baked cheesecake topped with a chocolate spiderweb design, making it the perfect Halloween dessert centerpiece. Rich, festive, and surprisingly simple to make!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 24 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of the pan to form a crust. Bake for 10 minutes and set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and sour cream.
- Pour cheesecake batter over the crust and smooth the top.
- Transfer melted chocolate into a piping bag. Pipe concentric circles on top of the batter. Using a toothpick, drag lines from the center outward to create a spider web pattern.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until the center is almost set. Turn off oven, crack door open, and let cool for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
For extra Halloween fun, garnish with plastic spiders on top before serving. You can also add pumpkin puree to the cheesecake batter for a festive twist.
