- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp black pepper (or more to taste)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Cooked white rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss sliced steak with 2 tbsp soy sauce and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add steak and sear until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add onions and bell peppers to the pan. Stir-fry until slightly tender but still crisp.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
- Return steak to the pan.
- In a small bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Pour sauce over the steak and vegetables. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until sizzling and thickened.
- Serve hot over warm white rice.
