  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 6 slices beef or turkey bacon, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: parsley for garnish

  1. Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove excess grease if needed.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. In a bowl, whisk eggs, Parmesan, cream, and black pepper.
  5. Add hot pasta to skillet and toss with bacon.
  6. Remove skillet from heat and quickly stir in egg mixture.
  7. Add reserved pasta water little by little until sauce becomes creamy and silky.
  8. Season with salt if needed and garnish before serving.

Notes

Always remove from heat before adding eggs to prevent scrambling. Beef or turkey bacon works perfectly for a halal-friendly version.
