- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups semisweet or milk chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture begins to boil, then simmer for 3 minutes.
- Pour the toffee mixture evenly over the crackers and spread gently with a spatula.
- Bake for 5 minutes until bubbly. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee.
- Let sit for 2 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly. Add optional toppings if desired.
