- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup finely diced apples (peeled)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- Sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
- Fold in diced apples gently.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool slightly, then drizzle caramel sauce over cookies and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
- Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith for best texture. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
