  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup finely diced apples (peeled)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  5. Fold in diced apples gently.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool slightly, then drizzle caramel sauce over cookies and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
  9. Allow cookies to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Use firm apples like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith for best texture. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
