Description

These Salted Caramel Apple Bars are packed with tender apples, buttery crust, and drizzled with rich salted caramel. The perfect cozy dessert for fall gatherings!


Ingredients

Scale
    • Crust:
    • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt

 

    • Apple Filling:
    • 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

 

  • Caramel Topping:
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. For crust: cream butter and sugar until smooth. Mix in flour and salt until combined. Press evenly into prepared pan and bake 15 minutes.
  3. While crust bakes, toss diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Remove crust from oven and spread apple mixture evenly over it. Return to oven and bake 20–25 minutes until apples are tender.
  5. Cool slightly, then drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  6. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Optional: add chopped pecans on top for extra crunch. Store bars in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
