These Salted Caramel Apple Bars are packed with tender apples, buttery crust, and drizzled with rich salted caramel. The perfect cozy dessert for fall gatherings!

- Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- Apple Filling:
- 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- Caramel Topping:
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- For crust: cream butter and sugar until smooth. Mix in flour and salt until combined. Press evenly into prepared pan and bake 15 minutes.
- While crust bakes, toss diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Remove crust from oven and spread apple mixture evenly over it. Return to oven and bake 20–25 minutes until apples are tender.
- Cool slightly, then drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Optional: add chopped pecans on top for extra crunch. Store bars in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
