Description
This classic Red Wine Sangria is fruity, refreshing, and perfect for parties or summer gatherings. Made with red wine, brandy, and fresh fruit, it’s a festive drink that’s easy to prepare ahead of time.
Ingredients

- 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons sugar or honey (optional)
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 apple, diced
- 1/2 cup fresh berries (optional)
- 1–2 cups lemon-lime soda or sparkling water
- Ice cubes, for serving
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine red wine, brandy, orange juice, and sugar (if using). Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Add sliced orange, lemon, apple, and berries (if using). Mix gently.
- Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
- Just before serving, stir in soda or sparkling water for a refreshing fizz.
- Serve over ice, garnished with fruit slices.
Notes
For a stronger flavor, let the sangria sit overnight before adding soda. You can also swap brandy with rum or triple sec for a twist.
