Description
Red Wine Punch is a bold, fruity party drink made with red wine, citrus, and a splash of fizz. It’s easy to make, deliciously sippable, and guaranteed to get the celebration started — whether it’s a holiday, barbecue, or casual get-together.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bottle (750ml) fruity red wine (like Shiraz or Merlot)
- ½ cup brandy
- ½ cup orange juice
- ¼ cup simple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)
- 1 can (12 oz) lemon-lime soda or sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Mint or berries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the Base: In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine red wine, brandy, orange juice, and sweetener. Stir until well blended.
- Add the Fruit: Stir in orange slices, lemon slices, and pineapple chunks.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to blend.
- Top with Fizz: Just before serving, add lemon-lime soda or sparkling water and plenty of ice. Garnish with fresh mint or berries if desired.
Notes
This punch is easily scalable — just double or triple for a larger crowd. For a non-alcoholic version, replace the wine with grape juice and skip the brandy. Want it stronger? Add a splash of rum or flavored vodka.
