- 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine (Merlot, Tempranillo, or Zinfandel)
- 1/3 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur (optional)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar (optional, to taste)
- 1 apple, thinly sliced
- 1 pear, thinly sliced
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2–3 whole cloves (optional)
- 1–2 cups sparkling water or club soda (optional, for fizz)
- Ice cubes, for serving
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, and maple syrup or brown sugar. Stir until dissolved.
- Add apple, pear, and orange slices, along with cinnamon stick and cloves.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
- Before serving, add sparkling water or club soda if desired for a fizzy finish.
- Serve over ice and garnish with extra fruit slices or a cinnamon stick.
Notes
For a deeper fall flavor, you can add a splash of apple cider or a few star anise. Adjust sweetness to taste.
