- Mix dry ingredients: Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Stir in red food coloring and vanilla.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For chewier cookies, slightly underbake and let them cool on the baking sheet. Optional: sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before baking for a sweet-salty contrast.
