This classic Red Sangria is refreshing, fruity, and perfect for parties. Made with red wine, brandy, citrus, and fresh fruit, it’s the ultimate crowd-pleasing drink.
Ingredients

- 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine (such as Rioja, Merlot, or Cabernet)
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- 1/4 cup sugar (or to taste)
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 lime, thinly sliced
- 1 apple, cored and diced
- 1–2 cups sparkling water or lemon-lime soda (for topping)
- Ice, for serving
Instructions
- In a large pitcher, combine red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Add the sliced orange, lemon, lime, and diced apple. Stir to combine.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to let the flavors meld.
- Before serving, top with sparkling water or soda for a refreshing fizz.
- Serve over ice, making sure to spoon fruit into each glass.
Notes
For a sweeter sangria, add more sugar or use soda instead of sparkling water. You can also add berries, peaches, or pineapple for extra flavor.
