Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Spread the pumpkin puree evenly in the prepared pan.
  3. Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves over the pumpkin layer.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix on top.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.
  6. Optional: sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden and set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly, then serve with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.

Notes

You can use a spice cake mix instead of yellow cake mix for extra flavor. Perfect for quick and easy fall desserts.
