- 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree
- 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Spread the pumpkin puree evenly in the prepared pan.
- Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves over the pumpkin layer.
- Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix on top.
- Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.
- Optional: sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until the top is golden and set.
- Allow to cool slightly, then serve with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
Notes
You can use a spice cake mix instead of yellow cake mix for extra flavor. Perfect for quick and easy fall desserts.
