- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Unfold puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface and cut into 4 equal squares.
- Score a smaller square inside each pastry square, about 1/2 inch from the edge, to create a border.
- Spread cream cheese mixture inside the inner square of each pastry.
- Top with sliced strawberries, arranging them neatly.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg.
- Bake 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow to cool slightly, then optionally dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze before serving.
Notes
Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor. You can also add a drizzle of melted white chocolate or apricot glaze for extra sweetness. Serve warm for a delicious treat.
