  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar or glaze for topping

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Unfold puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface and cut into 4 equal squares.
  4. Score a smaller square inside each pastry square, about 1/2 inch from the edge, to create a border.
  5. Spread cream cheese mixture inside the inner square of each pastry.
  6. Top with sliced strawberries, arranging them neatly.
  7. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg.
  8. Bake 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Allow to cool slightly, then optionally dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze before serving.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor. You can also add a drizzle of melted white chocolate or apricot glaze for extra sweetness. Serve warm for a delicious treat.
