These Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars are soft, chewy, and bursting with warm fall spices and melty chocolate chips — perfect for an easy seasonal treat.

- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
For extra gooey bars, slightly underbake and let cool completely. You can substitute chocolate chips with white chocolate or chopped nuts.
