- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, pumpkin puree, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares. Enjoy!
Notes
For a richer chocolate flavor, add 1/4 cup espresso or coffee to the batter. Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
