- ½ cup pomegranate juice (unsweetened preferred)
- ¼ cup brandy
- ¼ cup orange liqueur (such as Cointreau)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (optional)
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- ½ cup pomegranate arils (seeds)
- 1 apple, chopped
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 cup sparkling water or citrus soda (added before serving)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Combine the Liquids: In a large pitcher, mix red wine, pomegranate juice, brandy, orange liqueur, and maple syrup or honey. Stir well.
- Add the Fruit: Add orange slices, lemon slices, chopped apple, and pomegranate seeds. Stir gently to combine.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, for the flavors to develop.
- Serve: Just before serving, add sparkling water and ice. Pour into glasses and include fruit in each serving.
Notes
Use unsweetened pomegranate juice for a more tart flavor. For a sweeter version, use pomegranate soda or a splash of cranberry juice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or rosemary sprig for a festive touch.
