A spooky and delicious Halloween drink, ‘Poisoned Apple Cider’ is warm, flavorful, and perfect for a festive gathering. Add a little theatrical twist for Halloween parties!

- 6 cups apple cider
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 whole cloves
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- Optional: apple slices, star anise, or dry ice for spooky effect
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine apple cider, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and nutmeg.
- Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat and let simmer for 10–15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat and strain out the cinnamon sticks and cloves.
- Serve warm in mugs or a punch bowl.
- Optional: garnish with apple slices or star anise. For a spooky effect, carefully add a small piece of food-safe dry ice to the punch (do not ingest dry ice).
Notes
Adjust sweetness to taste. This drink is non-alcoholic but can be spiked with rum or bourbon for adults. Always handle dry ice with care.
