This Patriotic Poke Cake is a colorful and festive dessert perfect for 4th of July celebrations. - 1 cup boiling water
- 2 cups cold water
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar

- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Bake the Cake: Prepare and bake the white cake according to package instructions in a 9×13-inch pan. Allow to cool completely.
- Make the Gelatin: Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water. Let cool slightly.
- Prepare the Cake for Poking: Use the handle of a wooden spoon or a skewer to poke holes evenly all over the cooled cake.
- Pour Gelatin: Slowly pour the cooled but still liquid gelatin over the cake, letting it seep into the holes. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
- Make Whipped Cream: Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Decorate: Spread whipped cream over the set gelatin cake. Top with fresh strawberries and blueberries arranged to resemble the American flag.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate until ready to serve. Cut into squares and enjoy!
