- 6 large croissants, torn into chunks
- 8 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Gruyère cheese
- 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage or bacon (optional)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped chives or parsley for garnish
- Butter or cooking spray for greasing

- Sprinkle cooked sausage or bacon and shredded cheese over the croissants.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Pour egg mixture evenly over the croissants, pressing gently so everything is soaked.
- Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight (or at least 6 hours).
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, until puffed, golden, and set in the center.
- Let rest 5 minutes, garnish with chives or parsley, and serve.
Notes
