Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz pasta (linguine, spaghetti, or fettuccine)
- 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for topping)
Instructions
- In a large pot or deep skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the broth, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Add the dry pasta directly into the pot, ensuring it’s mostly submerged.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking.
- Once pasta is tender and sauce has thickened, stir in the parmesan cheese.
- Cook 1–2 more minutes until the sauce becomes creamy and glossy.
- Remove from heat and allow pasta to set for a few minutes to thicken.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan before serving.
Notes
💡 For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms, crispy bacon, spinach, or grilled chicken. To make it lighter, replace half of the cream with milk or evaporated milk!
