- 2 tbsp white miso paste
- 12 frozen or fresh dumplings (vegetable or meat)
- 1 cup bok choy, chopped
- 1/2 cup carrots, julienned
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Optional: sliced mushrooms, chili oil
Instructions
- Simmer broth: Heat vegetable broth in a pot until steaming.
- Add dumplings: Place dumplings in broth and cook according to package directions, usually 5–7 minutes.
- Add vegetables: Stir in bok choy, carrots, and optional mushrooms; simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Season: In a small bowl, mix miso paste with some hot broth until smooth, then stir into the pot. Add soy sauce and sesame oil.
- Serve: Garnish with green onions; drizzle with chili oil if desired.
Notes
For the best flavor, add miso paste at the end of cooking to preserve its delicate taste and probiotics.
