- 2 cups mashed potatoes (leftover or freshly made)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Optional: chopped chives for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and egg until well combined.
- Form mixture into small bite-sized balls (about 1β2 inches in diameter).
- Roll each ball in breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pan over medium heat.
- Fry the cheese puffs in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2β3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
- Optional: garnish with chopped chives.
