Description

Tender, caramelized Brussels sprouts roasted with a touch of maple syrup for a sweet-savory side dish that’s perfect for fall and holiday meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, maple syrup, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread sprouts evenly on the prepared baking sheet, cut-side down.
  4. Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until caramelized and tender.
  5. Optional: Sprinkle with nuts before serving for extra crunch.
  6. Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

For deeper flavor, drizzle with a little balsamic vinegar before serving. Leftovers can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes to crisp up again.
