  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Longhorn Steakhouse Parmesan Chicken is a homemade recreation of the restaurant favorite! Tender, juicy chicken breasts are seasoned, grilled or pan-seared, then smothered in a creamy Parmesan ranch topping and finished with melted cheese. It’s easy, flavorful, and restaurant-quality right at home!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Parmesan Ranch Topping:
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Cheese Topping:
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness for even cooking.
  3. Rub chicken with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until browned. (You can also grill the chicken instead.)
  5. Transfer chicken to a baking dish.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together Parmesan cheese, ranch dressing, sour cream, melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika.
  7. Spread the Parmesan ranch topping over each chicken breast.
  8. Sprinkle Monterey Jack and additional Parmesan on top.
  9. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and chicken reaches 165°F internally.
  10. Broil for 1–2 minutes for a bubbly golden top.
  11. Serve warm with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies.

Notes

For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken with olive oil and seasonings for 30 minutes. Add crushed red pepper for heat or swap Monterey Jack with mozzarella. Leftovers reheat great in the air fryer for 3–4 minutes!
