  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Cooked white or brown rice, for serving

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Stir in shredded carrots and half of the green onions.
  6. Serve beef over rice and garnish with remaining green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For a healthier option, use ground turkey or serve over cauliflower rice. Add cucumber or broccoli for extra crunch.
