- Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Chill the dough for 20–30 minutes for thicker cookies.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Drop rounded tablespoons or use a scoop to portion the dough onto the sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges turn golden and centers remain soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a rack.
Notes
For extra softness, remove the cookies slightly underbaked. Use high-quality chocolate for a richer flavor or mix semi-sweet and milk chocolate like Joanna often does.
