  • 8 beef hot dogs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: chopped green onions for garnish

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with foil.
  2. In a large bowl, mix barbecue sauce, brown sugar, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Add hot dog pieces to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Spread coated hot dogs in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway, until hot dogs are caramelized and slightly crispy on the edges.
  6. Remove from oven and garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
  7. Serve warm as an appetizer or snack.

Notes

For extra smoky flavor, finish under the broiler for 1–2 minutes. These burnt ends are best served fresh and hot.
