- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- Cooked rice or quinoa, for serving
- Steamed broccoli or mixed veggies, for serving
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.
- Cook the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Glaze the Shrimp: Pour sauce over shrimp and simmer for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats the shrimp.
- Assemble Bowls: Divide cooked rice and steamed veggies into bowls. Top with honey garlic shrimp. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Serve: Enjoy immediately for a fresh, flavorful meal!
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp in half the sauce for 15 minutes before cooking. Swap soy sauce for tamari for gluten-free. Add a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes for some heat.
