- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine strawberries and 1/4 cup sugar. Let sit 15–20 minutes to macerate.
- Puree the strawberries using a blender or food processor until smooth. For a chunkier ice cream, pulse to desired consistency.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together remaining sugar, heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract until sugar is dissolved.
- Stir in the strawberry puree. Add a few drops of food coloring if desired.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer’s instructions, usually 20–25 minutes.
- Transfer ice cream to an airtight container and freeze at least 2–4 hours until firm.
- Scoop and serve! Optionally, top with fresh strawberries or whipped cream.
Notes
For extra texture, fold in small strawberry chunks after churning. No ice cream maker? Pour mixture into a shallow pan and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes until creamy.
