Description
Hibiscus Iced Tea Punch is a tart, floral, and refreshing drink made with dried hibiscus petals, citrus juice, and a touch of sweetness. It’s naturally caffeine-free, stunningly red, and perfect for summer parties or brunches.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup dried hibiscus petals (or 4 hibiscus tea bags)
- 4 cups boiling water
- 1–2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup orange juice (fresh or bottled)
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 cups cold water or sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Orange slices, lime wedges, or mint for garnish
Instructions
- Steep Hibiscus: Place dried hibiscus in a heatproof bowl or pitcher. Pour boiling water over and steep for 10–15 minutes.
- Strain and Sweeten: Strain out hibiscus petals and stir in honey while the tea is still warm. Let it cool.
- Mix Punch: In a large pitcher, combine the cooled hibiscus tea with orange juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, and cold water.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve: Pour over ice and garnish with citrus slices and mint. Enjoy chilled!
Notes
Make it bubbly with sparkling water instead of still. Add a splash of rum or tequila for a cocktail version. Store in the fridge and serve within 2–3 days for best flavor.
