  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter or coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Cooking spray

  1. In a saucepan, heat water, butter, sugar, and salt until melted and boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour until dough forms.
  3. Let cool slightly, then mix in vanilla and egg until smooth.
  4. Transfer dough to a piping bag or zip bag with the corner cut.
  5. Pipe small bite-size strips into the air fryer basket lined with parchment.
  6. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes until golden.
  8. Mix cinnamon and sugar, then toss warm churro bites in coating.

Notes

Serve with dark chocolate sauce, honey, or Greek yogurt dip. For extra crunch, air fry 1–2 minutes longer.
