Description
These Halloween Vampire Bite Cupcakes are spooktacularly fun and eerie! Moist vanilla cupcakes filled with raspberry “blood” and topped with creamy white frosting and fang marks — perfect for Halloween parties or trick-or-treating thrills.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box vanilla or white cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box)
- 1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam or red gel filling
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk or cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Red food coloring or edible fake blood gel
- Plastic vampire teeth (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Bake cupcakes: Prepare and bake cupcakes according to package directions. Let cool completely.
- Make frosting: Beat butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and fluffy.
- Core and fill: Use a knife or cupcake corer to remove a small center from each cupcake. Fill with raspberry jam.
- Frost: Pipe or spread frosting over the top to cover the filling.
- Decorate: Use a toothpick to poke two “fang holes” in the frosting. Drizzle red food gel from each hole for a blood effect. Add vampire teeth if using.
- Chill and serve: Store in the fridge until ready to serve. Best enjoyed slightly chilled for a dramatic “bite.”
Notes
You can make these cupcakes ahead and store them in the fridge for 2–3 days. Swap raspberry jam for strawberry or cherry for a different “blood” flavor.
