Creepy-cute Halloween Spider Cookies made with chewy chocolate cookies, mini peanut butter cups, and candy eyes. A fun and spooky treat for Halloween parties!

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 24 mini peanut butter cups (unwrapped)
- Melted chocolate (for legs)
- Candy eyes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in eggs and vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients.
- Scoop dough into balls and place on baking sheet. Bake for 8–10 minutes.
- Immediately press a mini peanut butter cup into the center of each warm cookie.
- Once cooled slightly, use melted chocolate to pipe spider legs around the cup.
- Attach candy eyes with a dab of melted chocolate. Let set before serving.
Notes
You can swap peanut butter cups with chocolate truffles or Rolo candies. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
