- 8–10 breakfast sausages or mini sausages
- 1 sheet puff pastry or crescent roll dough
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional: mustard or ketchup for eyes
- Optional: sesame seeds for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out puff pastry or crescent dough and cut into thin strips.
- Wrap each sausage with dough strips to resemble mummies, leaving gaps for eyes.
- Place wrapped sausages on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until dough is golden and cooked through.
- Use mustard or ketchup to create eyes on each sausage mummy.
- Optional: sprinkle sesame seeds or other decorations before baking.
Notes
You can use mini hot dogs or cocktail sausages as well. These are best served warm and fresh from the oven.
