Description
These Halloween Mummy Cupcakes are fun and spooky treats! Chocolate or vanilla cupcakes are decorated with white frosting piped to look like mummy bandages and finished with candy eyes for a creepy-cute effect.

- 1 box chocolate or vanilla cake mix (or homemade batter)
- Ingredients required for cake mix (eggs, oil, water)
- 1 cup butter, softened (for frosting)
- 3–4 cups powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Mini candy eyes or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven according to cake mix instructions. Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare cake batter and fill each liner 2/3 full.
- Bake according to package directions and allow cupcakes to cool completely.
- Prepare frosting by beating butter until smooth, gradually adding powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until fluffy.
- Fill a piping bag with frosting and pipe horizontal and diagonal lines across each cupcake to resemble mummy bandages.
- Place two candy eyes on each cupcake while the frosting is still soft to complete the mummy look.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container until ready to enjoy.
Notes
You can tint the frosting slightly gray for an extra spooky mummy look. Perfect for kids’ Halloween parties or classroom treats.
