Description

A dangerously addictive Halloween candy known as ‘Halloween Crack’! Sweet, salty, and crunchy, this candy is perfect for parties or trick-or-treaters with a festive Halloween twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers (about 40 crackers)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • Halloween-themed sprinkles or candies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Pour the hot caramel mixture evenly over the saltine crackers.
  4. Bake for 5–7 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Spread chocolate evenly once melted.
  6. Optional: sprinkle Halloween-themed candies or sprinkles while chocolate is still soft.
  7. Let cool completely, then break into pieces and serve.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the chocolate before it sets.
