  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 12 oz egg noodles, cooked
  • Optional: parsley for garnish

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add butter, onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until softened.
  4. Sprinkle flour over mixture and stir well. Cook 1 minute.
  5. Slowly add beef broth while stirring until smooth.
  6. Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
  7. Reduce heat to low and stir in sour cream until creamy.
  8. Serve over egg noodles and garnish with parsley.

Notes

Do not boil after adding sour cream to keep sauce smooth. Greek yogurt may be substituted for a lighter version.
