  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Grease a 9Γ—13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Season the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth.
  5. Layer half of the potatoes in the baking dish.
  6. Top with half of the onions and half of the cooked ground beef.
  7. Pour half of the soup mixture over the layers.
  8. Repeat with remaining potatoes, onions, beef, and soup mixture.
  9. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 60 minutes.
  10. Remove foil, sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top, and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes
