  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 23 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Sauté vegetables: In a large skillet, melt butter and sauté onion, celery, and garlic until soft, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, mix bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Gradually add broth until mixture is moist but not soggy.
  4. Bake: Transfer to prepared baking dish and cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden on top.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes
