  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt (plus more for topping)
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping

  3. Slowly pour in heavy cream, whisking constantly. Cook 1–2 minutes until smooth and thick.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and sea salt. Allow to cool slightly.
  5. Prepare the filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add half of the cooled caramel and mix well.
  6. Fold in the whipped cream until fluffy and combined.

  8. Top with remaining caramel and swirl gently.

Notes

For a firmer caramel layer, cook it 1–2 minutes longer. Add flaky sea salt on top right before serving for the perfect sweet–salty finish.
