  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded GruyΓ¨re or Swiss cheese
  • Β½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and slowly caramelize onions until golden and soft.
  3. Add garlic and thyme, cooking 30 seconds more.
  4. Stir in orzo, broth, and cream. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  5. Mix in cooked chicken.
  6. Transfer to a greased baking dish and top with cheeses.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
